Setting Up Your Email with Apple Mail


1. Launch the Mail application. You may be prompted to create a new account, if not go to File > Add Account.



2. A new window will appear, here you need to type in your full name (first and last). You will also need to input your email address and your email password. Once done, click continue.







3. On the next screen, choose POP as account type and you can type in a description of your email (for example, “Work” or “My Business Email”). For Incoming Mail Server you need to input “mail.YOURDOMAIN.com”. Then input your email name (including @yourdomain.com) and email password. Click continue.




4. On this screen, you will input “mail.YOURDOMAIN.com” as the Outgoing Mail Server. You also must check the Use Authentication box. Input your email name and password once again. Click continue.



5. You will be taken to a screen to confirm your information and activate your email account.
